Sandwiched between a huge lake and the sea, this pool is almost dwarfed by its surroundings. The model yacht pond close by was bigger than many lidos. A walkway led across the park to a roller skating rink and then over the marine lake and more gardens and amusements. This must have been a fabulous resort in its heyday. Another costal resort pool replaced by ugly buildings and car parks. It seems the council has now closed the popular pier now so I’m not sure who is parking in all those spaces.
