Built on the edge of Wormholt Park with the entrance in Bloemfontein Road, this open air pool was the location for international swimming and water polo. It was eventually covered and converted to a more fashionable leisure lagoon. The indoor centre was re-named the Janet Adegoke Leisure Centre in honour of LB Hammersmiths first black mayor. Finally closed and demolished in 2003, it is now the site of Cranston Court apartments.
