The open pools directory
Here is the list of all pools currently open inthe UK should you wish to actually go swimming. Not all are open all year round so please visit the pools own website to check.
Outdoor swimming in cold water and cold weather is something that should be attempted gradually. You might need specialist equipment and restrict swimming to only five minutes until you build up to it. The best resource I have found to explain this is in the Pells Pool website. Skip to the section regarding cold water for some advice.
